There are so many activities and things to see here. We invite you to look and participate. There is something for everyone.
Our show will display a large collection of quilts that have been submitted by quilters in the Emerald Coast and viewed by a certified judge. This exhibit is divided into the following categories: pieced, applique, mixed technique, modern, other, as well as a group of quilts showcasing our Show Theme, "How Does Your Garden Grow."
Guild members and guests have had many opportunities to participate in guild activities, classes, and retreats. This exhibit showcases the many educational opportunities offered by Flying Needles Quilt Guild.
This exhibit features quilts made by members specifically for our Quilts of Valor program along with other patriotic-themed quilts.
Plan how you will spend your time once you have seen the quilts.
Join AQS-Certified Judge Sandy Gard for a unique opportunity to walk through the show room floor and hear her thoughts on the quilts in our show, and what she looks for when judging. You will not want to miss this opportunity to get a unique behind the curtain look at our displayed quilts.
The price for this 1-hour walk & talk is $20 and participation is limited. Registration coming soon.

Do you know the value of your quilts? Do you need an appraisal for insurance purposes? Alma R. Moates will be available at the show to appraise your quilts. They can be quilts hanging in the show, or other quilts in your collection. Alma has been an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser for 20 years. She is also a member of PAAQT (Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles) and a Quilt Historian. She loves to share her knowledge with others.
Alma will book appointments during show hours or accept walk-ins as time permits. Contact Alma directly for appointments: 850-324-1510 or email QuiltsAppraised@aol.com. Her fee is $65 for a written appraisal and $35 for a verbal evaluation without a valuation.
Want to learn a new technique or just see how something is done? Be sure to stop by our demonstration table to see some fun and informative demos from some of our vendors. Schedule coming soon.
Need to purchase a last minute gift? Our boutique will feature a variety of hand-made items including potholders, bowl cozies, pin cushions, project bags, purses, wine bags, decorative items, and even a few quilts.
Be sure to stop by early for the best selection.
Stop by our Quilter's Walk booths to see the wonderful baskets of goodies that have been collected, then purchase your tickets for a chance to win one (or more!) of these fabulous baskets. The many themed baskets are focused around many different topics, not just quilting. Drawings will be held at the end of the show. You need not be present to win.
Thank you to the many shops and individuals who have contributed some fantastic items.
Visit our QfV booth to learn about our efforts to wrap veterans in the Okaloosa and Walton county areas with patriotic-themed quilts. Flying Needles Quilt Guild is a member of the national Quilts of Valor® Foundation.
We invite you to sit and stitch a block that will become a part of a quilt for a veteran. Sewing machines and assistance will be available for you.
In addition, we will be awarding several Quilts of Valor on Saturday. You don't want to miss this moving and inspirational ceremony.
An "opportunity quilt" (also commonly called a raffle quilt) is a quilt made collaboratively by a guild and raffled off to raise money for charity, education, or operational costs. Tickets are sold for a suggested donation amount to the public for a chance to win the quilt.
Purchase tickets for your chance to win one (or both!) of our Opportunity Quilts on display at the show.
"American Heritage," is a patriotic themed quilt celebrating 250 years of America. Funds raised from this quilt benefit our Quilts for Veterans program. The winner of this quilt will be drawn on Saturday afternoon of the show. Don't miss your last opportunity to win this patriotic quilt.
"Dear Daughter" is an Opportunity Quilt benefiting our Community Service efforts. This quilt is a lovely tribute to a daughter or other loved one and would make a fabulous gift. Tickets for this quilt will be available throughout the show.
