Our Judge-Sandy Gard
Sandy Gard of Edmond, Oklahoma has served on the board of three local guilds. Through the years she has served as quilt show chairman, judging coordinator, and treasurer.
Sandy has worked in judging rooms for several years and is a certified quilt judge through the National Association of Certified Judges (NACQJ). Sandy is a longarm quilter, lecturer and workshop teacher. Sandy is an award-winning longarm quilter who applies her knowledge and expertise of quilting when judging. She feels that every quilt is special and deserves her full attention when evaluating each quilt.
Her personal statement: Quilting is a time- honored tradition. I love the history and future of quilting and love promoting the tradition to new quilters of any age. My hope is that the comments I make as a judge will be helpful and encouraging to each quilt maker.

Our Appraiser - Alma Moates
Do you know the value of your quilts? Do you need an appraisal for insurance purposes? Alma R. Moates will be available at the show to appraise your quilts. They can be quilts hanging in the show, or other quilts in your collection. Alma has been an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser for 20 years. She is also a member of PAAQT (Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles) and a Quilt Historian. She loves to share her knowledge with others.
