Quilts of Valor
One of the many community service projects The Flying Needles Quilt Guild supports is Quilts of Valor. Quilts of Valor are made to donate to the national Quilt of Valor Foundation (QOVF) for distribution of heirloom-quality quilts to service men and women touched by war. The guild has gone from making one QOV in 2009, to over 100 per year in the past few years. These quilts are made entirely from donations. As an organization, Flying Needles Quilt Guild, holds workshops several times a year to work on making quilts to be presented to nominated veterans. Interested quilters are encouraged to attend and may contact Barbi Ouellette for more information.

Quilts for Veterans Presentations
Presentations of quilts are typically held at Eglin Air Armament Museum, 100 Museum Drive, Eglin AFB, FL, on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend and help honor our veteran recipients.

Opportunity Quilt Fundraiser
American Heritage
The Flying Needles Quilt Guild Quilt for Veterans fundraiser for 2026-2027 is called American Heritage. This beautiful 74" by 91" quilt was a group project with blocks made by a number of our guild members. The winner of the quilt will be drawn in March 2027 at our quilt show. The winner need not be present to win.
Tickets are available in person for a suggested donation of 1 ticket for $5.00 or 3 tickets for $10.00. See a guild member to get tickets.
